Well, you guys said it would take a few days until it all clicked enough for me to start appreciating this program and I can now say you were absolutely right. I now love BIAB! It has so many uses. Just thought I should say that after my last topic subject.

The longer you have, the deeper you explore and use the more you will appreciate what a fantastic set of music tools it is. Also a sleeper is RealBand, its a real piece of software art.
Good luck on your continued journey!

In my experience, anything so simple that I can master it immediately lacks the substance to keep me interested for very long. Conversely, anything that is feature-rich enough to require some effort to grasp keeps me interested for a very long time. PGMusic products fall into the second group for me. And, not only were they full of substance years ago when I first discovered them... they didn't stop there! In fact, these products grow in features and capability faster than I can master the new content.
Unlike other products I've used, I can't imagine outgrowing the usefulness of PGMusic products. That doesn't mean I won't ever use other products too.. it means that BIAB and RB will be steadfast players in my musical projects for as long as I can see into the future.
Welcome to the forum. The excitement here is contagious. Thanks for adding yours to the mix

Hi jpt,
Glad you've found the light at the end of the tunnel. It's a brilliant program and with each new upgrade, it just keeps on getting more brilliant.
I've also found that staying in touch with these forums also adds to understanding. I've learnt heaps because of comments that have been made on here.
All the best with the journey! Noel

Are you primarily a lawyer who makes music? Or are you more of a musician who practices law?

I've had so many people tell me they couldn't figure out BIAB. I couldn't get going with it right away, but once I did, it was pretty easy. There are many programs I have found too difficult, BIAB is not one of them. Huge payoff for the energy spent learning it.
Windows 11, Intel Core I5 10400, 16 gig ram, Scarlett 2i2, Sony Acid Music Studio 10, BIAB 2020 UltraPlus Pak

The software I use at work must have been designed by a large team, because there is no consistent set of rules that I can depend on throughout the program. Each module is a completely different paradigm, based on whatever seemed logical to the developer who was responsible for that module.
One thing I like about BIAB and RB is that there *IS* a cohesive theme through both of them. Once you understand the first feature, if you apply the same reasoning to other features, you'll be pretty close to having it figured out.
And if all else fails, there is a consistent use of HELP buttons on every feature dialog box. They've bailed me out on many occasions

Pat, I think you are onto something here.
And I'd only add that, after years participating in this forum, I've noticed that a good deal of posts pertaining to problems with the use of the program are often caused by the user, for some reason or other, deciding that the way they want to do something specific must be done in a fashion that they themselves think is the way to go about it, rather than looking into how BiaB actually does that particular thing.
There are Help files withing the program, there is the .pdf BiaB manual that installs in the bb folder, there are printed Manuals available, plus there is the rather comprehensive FAQ section of this website, BiaB specific, where the various entries and explanations have been culled from actual user posts on these forums, p;us there is a plethora of PGMusic tutorial videos and such. For some reason, those who prefer to find things out on this forum seem to want to avoid all those resources like the plague, preferring the forum and its rather personal exchange. That's okay with me, but the user must wait a much longer time to get good answers when the forum is their only chosaen source of information, eh?
