Noel96 Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 20,486 Australia	Hi Coolblues When you say "rest", do you mean the notation shortcut that one sees in music scores that will tell a flautist (for example) to rest for 8 bars or do you mean you want the sound of a particular instrument to rest for 8 bars (like drums or bass, etc.)? Matt Finley Veteran Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 27,505 Hudson Valley & Lake George NY	Yes, as Noel asks, if you wish, you can Mute one or more instruments, and Unmute them later, which gives the effect of resting for many bars. You would press F5 and make your choice at the beginning bar, and F5 again to undo it at the ending bar. There is also a way to copy rests written into a chord, and copy that setting to a range of bars. Let us know more about what you are trying to do. BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile.
