Hello, I found instructions somewhere online for transposing. So I typed in the chords to "Call Me" in Bb. Then, I did the following
Notation menu -> notation mode -> options -> enter 9 for transpose up 9 semitones to key of G -> window menu -> Notation (or chords) window
This successfully caused BIAB to change the chord symbols to properly be in the key of G. However, when I click on Play, the music does not match the chords. The music is still in the key of Bb.
I am using BIAB 2009 (279)

Hi Jim, The method of transposition you describe is for a transposing instrument (e.g. trumpets, saxes, etc). It allows for the music to be displayed/printed in one key while the backing is played in another key. If you want to change the key of the whole song, simply change the key with the button I've highlighted in yellow below.  Regards, Noel P.S. If the song is in Bb and this button still says "C", first change to Bb and select "No" to "Transpose worksheet". Then change to G and transpose the worksheet.

Noel lays it down, as usual, follow his great instructions.
Terminology is the issue, actually.
"Transpose" -- Music stays in same Concert Pirch key, but the Notation is changed by the proper number of semitones up or down such that instruments that are built in different keys can read the notation. Examples include but not limited to, Eb Alto Saxophone, Bb Tenor Saxopphone, Bb Trumpet, etc.
"Key Signature" -- This is where you change the actual Key of the song.
Band in Box terminology is correct, something I've always loved about the program, but we use a living language where "transpose" has come to mean the same thing for both and that can be confusing.
Same problem exists for defining a Chorus. BiaB uses the correct "music school" definition of a Chorus, but it is likely that most people today think of the chorus as being defined by the lyrics instead of the music itself.

Mac, if "chorus" is not the thing you know I think it is that is defined by the lyrics, then what, technically, does "chorus" mean?

One chorus is once through the tune. For example, it might be A A B A.
