My wife pushes me. Home all day she works. I bought 2 big green Celtic fake books and we are flute and pianoing right through. The app runs on the Piano to the Bose radio. As you increase speed it says adagio or legato, does permit emphasis on any beat I ca n start and stop. Called metronome pro. Maybe biab could support this type of embedded app or you could win the lottery. I cannot believe I bought her this so I can use it.

PGMusic has been offering a Windows version of Metronome Pro in the Omni Paks for some time now: http://www.pgmusic.com/omnipak.features.htm Whoever writes the code did a good enough job, but I for one wish they'd add the ability to stop that darned first beat accenting if desired. Here's a video tutorial of the fantastic Victor Wooten showing how a pro works out with the metronome. Turning the met's beat around while practicing is where its at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X1fhVLVF_4 --Mac

. Wow! The Victor Wooten lesson answers a lot of questions. Like "Is my time REALLY as steady as I think it is?" When I cut the metronome in half and half again I quickly find out whether I am on or off. I thought the only thing you did with a met was get faster and faster.
Thanks for posting that!

On the iPad you slide a bar up or down for each beat version 1.5 so you can emphasize any beat a bit or not.

Haven't tried that one, John.
I have used iTempo for awhile. Same capability for automatic Italian tempo names and setting whatever beat emphasis you want.
Yours probably has this too, but one other feature I like is to be able to Mute and just see the tempo by flashes, including different color for beat emphasis.
Hey John - which one is it? There are a bunch that come up in a search on the App Store. Metronome Pro, Pro Metronome, and many other look-alikes. Which company wrote the one you like? That way, we can be sure we're talking about the same one. Is yours the one by KatokitchiSoft?

It says by EUM, and the also have DAW Remote 2.0 a wireless Daw controller Apple Logic and Protools, a 'String Tuner", and a Pro Tuner. The two latter I've never used. On the 3/4 time screen I have 3 bars to change the volume of the 3 bears, 44 time is Larghetto, and there is a visual and flash option. Adjustable tones. I need to start putting it on the acoustic piano to do the old Celtic music. My wife claims when I tell her we need to speed up I simply start using 16th notes instead of 8ths. I'm the one who has the tune in my head someplace but often her flute is not where I think we should be. However there is one book I really like, it has old Celtic stuff, we have 2 of them too, it's http://www.guitarandlute.com/flutesolo.htmlThere are others, Vol 2 of that I'm not as fond of, however they form the basis of many of our 'supper gigs', where we play and they eat, often things like Lions Club or Legions. We do that for 'free', if they pay us we donate the money except for about $20 for gas and expenses, I should keep more but we don't need it, I think we are very fortunate that way. I'm very happy about another thing, the Cineplex Odeon has a VIP room with big reclining leather chairs, about 250 people in the Theatre, we usually go to the Live at the Met stuff, but this Saturday is the Proms live on BBC. You can have a martini, a shrimp cocktail, and service where you sit. We are taking our best friends, and it should be a blast. I even bought some little Union Jacks to wave for Rule Britannia. Carry on as they say.

OK, with your clues, I found it. It's called "Pro Metronome".
It's free! But you need the $0.99 paid version to see Flash or Visual Modes (the audio Beat Mode is free).
The name of the author in the App Store is Xiao Yixiang.

Nice name. I wish I had thought of that one.
I often called myself just John.
No more, no less. But not humour less.

For those of you that play off of lyric sheets with chords above the lyrics, I have recently seen a chord-chart scrolling app that also flashes tempo along the side of the screen. Once I hear back from my buddy that uses it, I'll post the link here.
