have connected Alesis Q25 midi controller to my iMac. I can see it in the drivers and when played it shows the keys pressed on the Midi Instrument keyboard at the top.
I would like to get output at the same time, which would be Apple DLS Synth but have no clue how to assign the Midi Out to it.
Could you help?

In BIAB, this is called "midi thru". You can assign an instrument by selecting "Thru" on the radio buttons at the top of the main screen. I believe the default is that it only plays while BIAB is playing and doesn't play while BIAB is paused (although you can see keys pressed on the on-screen keyboard).

I am sorry / I probably did not ask well.
When I select the MacOSCore as the Midi Driver, BIAB stops outputting the sound of any track. When I select the Apple DLS Synth (built/in Mac sound) it plays the tracks but I cannot input from my midi keyboard.
Update> I found it (RTFM) ... Assign input to Q25 controller, all aother ports to QT music instruments.

Glad you got it working, I think you're right - I didn't understand your problem exactly.
