how do you enter minor chords and major 7th chords. also cant enter 4 chords per measure using the comma

Now that is a fitting very first question for a very first forum entry - Welcome.
Minor and major chords are simply entered :
Cm, Cm6, Cm7, Cm9, Cm11, Cm13, Cmaug, Cm#5, CmMaj7
Major Chords
C, Cmaj, C6, Cmaj7, Cmaj9, Cmaj13, C69, Cmaj7#5, C5b, Caug, C+, Cmaj9#11, Cmaj13#11
Regarding the ",", what version do you have?

Good start, yes.
Remember you right-click on a chord cell to open a helpful menu of most common tasks. One of them is "Chord Builder". That guides you through the entry of any possible BiaB chord; it will remind you how to do it when you forget.
As for the comma between chords, that's one function that has always functioned. You can get 4 chords per measure with it. It does fail unforgivingly if you type even one character wrong. So try again more carefully, using simple chords to convince yourself it works.

Just look in the help menu for the complete chord list for your version of BIAB. The manual is the first place to look for basic questions. Later, Ray

Hi Hutchins, Welcome to the forums. How I enter 4 chords per bar is ... 1. Put the cursor on the required bar. (In the below example, that's bar "2".)  2. Type in chord,chord with no spaces after the comma and then press enter. This will move the cursor to mid-bar for the next chord entry. (In the below, I typed C,F and then enter.)  3. Once again type in chord,chord with no spaces after the comma and again press enter. This will now move the cursor to the next bar for chord entry. (In the below, I typed G,C and then enter.) Hutchins, An alternative approach is to use the right-click menu that Allis mentioned. Via this menu, it's possible to control each 1/4 note beat in a bar. Right-click on the required bar and select "Chord Settings". (This a very useful menu for a number of reasons and can also be accessed by using Alt+F5.)  At the top left for the Chord Settings box are "Beat 1, 2, 3, 4" as highlighted in the above image. Let's say I want to enter C, C with a D bass, C with an E bass, C with an F bass as the four chords in a bar. First: Select Beat "1" and type C in the box to the right of the word "Chord".  Second: Select Beat "2" and type C/D.  Third: Select Beat "3" and type C/E.  Fourth: Select Beat "4" and type C/F.  Click on "OK" to exit the menu. You should now see the following on the chord sheet.  This is a very useful menu for many things and is worth playing around with just to see what the various options do. All the best, Noel
