When I click on Settings For Song and go to Bar Settings, it only specifies a specific bar to change beats in. (If I do specify for a bar, the beats do not change).
How change beats in all the bars to 4/4, 3/4,2/4?
I think it partly depends on the Style chosen.
How do I find which styles allow different beats?

This is also something I was looking at as well...For example Green Dolphin Street where it segues into a straight swing from a latin beat...

Haven't figured out how to do this, nor seen anywhere in the program that you CAN do this??

It's called j_dolphin style, one of the oldest styles around. Plus there's a Real Drum track called bossa/swing. Check out the Bars edit window carefully. You can change styles, tempo's, change the RT/RD/s on a bar by bar basis as much as you want.

Changing the number of beats in a bar is called the time signature so changing it from from 4/4 to 3/4 or whatever is done by changing the time sig for that bar then change it back at the next bar.

Yes, the j_dolphin style is specifically for Green Dolphin Street, with straight for the A section and swing for the B.

If I use the Bar Settings to change the beat number from, say, a 4/4 song to 2 beats per bar here, it does change and will stay that way throughout or unless and until I reopen Bar Settings at a particular bar and return it to 4 beats per bar.

If that is not working for you, try Options -> Return to Factory Settings because something may have gotten corrupted in the Settings.

This can also happen with a corrupted Songfile as well, try the above first and if still no joy try hitting New and see if it works on a new song. If it does, suspect a corrupted songfile.

I reset to Factory Settings.
Changing Time Signature for all bars has no effect whatever - always plays 2 beats per bar.
Very frustrating.

Just found (google) the latest update patch for BIAB 2012 and that seems to have solved my problem.

I loaded the j_dolfin demo and I can't figure out how the feel changes at the "b" bar. I do an F5 on bar 7, 8 and 9 (or right click, bar settings) and nothing looks different. How does this change occur?

Now at bandcamp: Crows Say Vee-Eh @ bandcamp or soundcloud: Kevin @ soundcloud

This function is controlled by the PART MARKERS on the chordgrid and not by using Bar Settings.

A Blue Part Marker over the bar number indicates the A substyle will play.

A Green Part Marker = B substyle.

These are changed or cancelled by simply left-clicking on the bar number where you want it to happen. If it turns blue and you want green, click again. Want it gone, click one more time.
