I need a kick drum in a song I'm working on. Just plain simple I believe 1/4 notes. Can I use seperate it from a style or make a loop with kick drum any idea's

BIAB now supports VSTs so if you have a drum add-on program like Jamstix etc., you can do this. BIAB also supports loops, so if you have a drum loop collection, you can do this.
Even though I use RealDrums, I also export the MIDI drum track so I can edit most of the drum kit out and leave things like bongo or triangle. You can pretty easily step-edit to add a kick drum sound with your mouse.
A more challenging approach would be to write your own RealDrum pattern to extract only the part of the kit you want, assuming you can find a suitable sound. There are instructions on the site how to do this.
And of course, there is one audio track in BIAB if you want to record your own drum track, either from live playing or the output of a drum machine.
There may be other possibilities. Anyone?

You can easily record MIDI drums to the Melody track using the Drums window.
Be sure to change the Prefs->Channels to MIDI channel 10, which is the Percussion track.
TIP: The part recorded to the Melody track can always be swapped using the command under the Melody -> Edit menu to free up that Melody track if you also wish to record a Melody there.
An alternative to the above could be done using the Audio loop feature, if you have an audio loop of a kick drum that does what you want.

thanks I know that was in there just never quite figured it out. that worked great now do I have to change that back to record midi from my keyboard ?

actully I had to add more than I recorded I just added them manully that worked once I got it figured out thanks agian

Can anyone recommend a good place/s where one can get good loops? I know I can goodle them but recommendation is always a good place to start.

I have my kick the way I want it. I do need to move it to another track my 1st atempt didn't work for some resaon copy to solest track or a diferent comand? I also had a brain storm to make a wave file and then use it as a loop would that work I have melody on other songs such as flute I reeally don't want to switch bach and fourth

Wave file and the bb command to add as loop can indeed work as well.
Only the Melodist and Soloist tracks can be used for our own note entry, as the other tracks, being autoaccompaniment tracks, belong to the Styles and any notes added or edited there will be overwritten the next time the style file is told to generate or regenerate.
Doing a Copy command will result in the same notes being on both tracks. There's a Delete command in the same menu string that can easily do away with either one.
In the Melody Edit menu, locate the "Move to" command located just below the Copy command and use that to move your entered or recorded notes from Melody to Soloist track.

thanks again for your help rather than record in the meledy for drums anyway I went to soloist and put in notes and moved them where I wanted. So I have been wondering how to put a drum role on the end as a live drummer behold I was able to do this the same way thanks again
