Hello to eveybody
Sorry to post technical questions but if someone could help :
Well, I have the famous message : "Access violation at 0XXXXXX in module bbw.exe
Write of address 0000000XX at 0XXXXXX” with Sonar X2!
Thank you for all the infos I found here and in the Support section but I did what it is mentioned but it still does not work for me!
If I don't open Sonar, BIAB works normally.
If I open Sonar first, and if I run BIAB after, BIAB freezes with this message and I cannot use its plugin function in Sonar.
If I open BIAB first, and if I open Sonar subsequently, Sonar show me a message that it has no drivers and I cannot hear Sonar because I cannot assign any output from my soundcard in Sonar, BUT I can hear BIAB and assign it as a plugin in Sonar (?)
If you have an idea, I would be very grateful!

Drivers? Permissions? This could be a lot of things. I use BIAB 2013 and SONAR X2, so it can work.
To help you, we need to know much more:
What version of BIAB?
What version of Windows?
Are you running the various .EXE files As Administrator?
What is your sound card? Do you have a current ASIO driver for it?
What are the settings for output in BIAB? Are you using DXi and if so, which?
Taking a quick guess, you probably have ASIO set in both BIAB and SONAR. Try the MME setting in BIAB and report back if that works.
If you find any settings talking about exclusive use of ASIO, set them so it can share.

This may be the old driver issue that can happen when trying to use ASIO sound drivers with more than one host program at a time.
Try setting Band in a Box to use MME drivers.
There is also a setting in the BB Audio settings window, "ASIO Always On" which you can experiment with, unchecking that *may* allow the sharing of ASIO, depending upon how the sound device's drivers were done.
I have always found it simpler and easier to set bb to MME sound drivers when needing to open the big DAW recording program. No loss, as at that point I'm not recording inside bb and can still generate and regenerate realtracks and such just fine with MME drivers.

Thank you very much for repplying !
Excuse me but I'm a newbie concerning Music computering and I have some difficulties to understand drivers system
My BB version is 2012.5 and I work under Windows 7 64 (I7 processor, 12 gb ram) with the Roland VS700 set (soundcard and console). So,yes, it deals with ASIO drivers.
In Sonar, in Preferences, in Driver mode, I checked "Share the Drivers with other program"
In BB, in Options, Preferences, Audio, I set "ASIO Always On" (but the first time I used BB, I remember it was on MME drivers and with "ASIO Always On" unchecked, and it didn't work with Sonar (?); I will try again.

In BIAB, Options, Preferences, MIDI Driver, Audio Settings button, Audio Driver type, try changing from ASIO to MME and report back.
Also, these settings are important: in BIAB, Options, Preferences, MIDI Driver, what did you choose for MIDI Output Driver and for Synthesizer? Is the DXi checkbox checked?

Sorry for the delay
For midi output driver : it is set to Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth (I believed it was set on VS 700 I/O)
And for Synthesizer :
the first window says : General Midi Instrument Misc.
under "get patch/drum kit info, it is checked : "Use VST/DXI Synth" and "Route Midi thru to Midi Driver
Third window : VST/DXI Synth Settings... [CoyoteWT]
fourth window : Genarl midi 2 [GM2] support
And at the bottom : Audio Settings...[ASIO(always)]

Matt : As you suggested, I changed Audio Driver Type from ASIO to MME, and it seems to work !!!
