As you know I don't wonder into RB very often, but I had a unique need to find and record that perfect 8 bar sax solo and regening in BIAB is not the best way to do that. So double clink the RB 2013 and stumbled upon something call MultiRiffs!

OK, dats cool!

Yes, Dan... I just "stumbled" into this too. What a brilliant idea and a huge time saver.

I must add that after "sort of" knowing this software for a number of years, I am suddenly discovering all sorts of terrific features and tricks by "stumbling" as I work under the pressure of song creation via the FAWM tyranny. The mother of invention. Thanks for posting.

This feature has been there over a year now .. just sayin'

Yes, it's very cool.
Stuff like this is why I actually prefer RB to other DAWs, and BiaB itself.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I love the check box to allow early and late generation. One cool thing to do is regenerate the multiriff, or even slightly readjust the highlighted area, and re gen.

Wow! What a great feature and timely too. I had a song (cover) that screamed for a sax solo and all I could throw at it was a guitar solo.

The guitar solo was woefully inadequate, but the MultiRiff feature provided a choice of sax, tenor, alto or baritone, with octave ranges and density of notes. Fantastic!

This RealBand thing could catch on.

It needs posting in the BB forum. How many buy "Band In A Box" and that is all they use without knowing what RealBand can do.

This....I did not know. What I did know was that every render was different in RB so I would render a track several times....as many as was needed, and then using Sonar and envelopes...I would pick the parts I thought worked best and create a solo from 4 or 5 tracks.

The Best Christmas (on my music page) is an example of this. The piano fills are from 3 tracks and the guitar solo in the middle is from 5 tracks. All enveloped and I grab the parts I want to make the fills and solo work.

The Multi-Riff feature is a very powerful recent addition to Realband that I don't think a lot of users are fully aware of. I have found it to be tremendously useful and a real time-saver over previous efforts to generate/cut/paste appropriate riffs and solos for given sections of a song.

In a studio when recording a live musician's track, it is customary to do several takes covering the same area, giving the producer some choices at mixdown.

This feature is the Realtracks' equivalent of that.

Every once in a while I will hear one part of one of the selections and another part of another and want them both, so I will tell RB to place one on one track and the other on another, then I can use Volume Envelopes in the pianoroll view to bring one down and the other up at the right time.
