Can anyone point me in the right direction using a keyboard controller with BIAB. Also, what settings do I tweak to use an Mbox with BIAB. I'm running BIAB 2013, Windows 7, a new Mbox and M-Audio Oxygen 88 controller.
Heads up! I'm pretty green with all this.
Thanks

The Oxygen 8 is a USB MIDI keyboard. Therefore you can use a pretty much standard USB cable to attach the MIDI of the keyboard to your PC.

Band in a Box should not be running before you first connect the USB of the keyboard to the computer. Attach it, turn on the keyboard, and wait for Windows to find the USB keyboard device and install it. Then start up Band in a Box. Under the Options menu, under MIDI/Audio... selection, you should bring up the MIDI selection window.

Since the 0X-8 is just a controller, with no sounds of its own, you will only see it listed on the LH side of the MIDI selection window, under the available Inputs. Click it to highlight it to show that it is selected. This will place the Ox-8 on the Thru channel in Band in a Box, which is where you want to be in order to select patches and play along with BB.

You will likely have to select an available software MIDI synth to hear any sounds. This will depend upon what you have installed, but the "Use DXi" button click will bring up any available DXi or VSTi synths available, recommended over using the older MIDI synths that may be listed in the RH top MIDI output pane, and DXi supercedes whatever is there.

Use of ASIO sound drivers provided by the Mbox is advised, for that will allow you to play the software MIDI synth with the lowest possible latency.
