Check out my son Charlie, age 18.

This is his audition tape for Summer Program at Berklee. His friend Robert is on drums, and his old man is on bass.

Hi Peter,

Fantastic!!! I feel like I've run a marathon at double speed after listening to your son's performance. I'm not a guitarist but I don't need to be to appreciate that this is incredible playing, and he's only 18!!! I wish him well at Berklee. Robert on drums and you on bass also deserve an enthusiastic round of applause for such skilful backing!

Thanks for letting us share in your family's talent.

Regards,
Noel

Your son can certainly play, and only 18 as well. A natural born player and he must have a good ear to pick that up so young, I am not jealous in the slightest After 50 years of playing I cannot even pretend to play like that.
Nice sunburst , what make is it????
The drummer is pretty good as well, dunno about the bassist tho'

Charlie's definitely got that Eddie Van Halen thing going on! Nice tight performance for the group. Interesting to see how you effectively used the mics. Thanks for posting.

Peter, Wow! I'm speechless! (Mark that on the oothoos wall, eh?)

In all fairness, with the current exchange rate, 18 Canadian is equal to 50 American, me thinks.

Great shot of your left hand, by the way.

When will BIAB allow me to play like that with the Charlie Gannon RTs?

Seriously, great work, Charlie et al. Its wonderful to be included in your family, Peter.

More please, eh?

That was really tight. I was impressed by his hand technique. The way he holds the pick, and uses it was very much like I have seen with pros at both concerts and on TV.

I was going to make a "GarageBand" joke about the competition, but it never came together.

Thanks for sharing I hope he does well there.

Sure, but does he clean his room, and eat his vegetables?
