I think this started with the re-sizable leadsheet in 2013. From the chord sheet I open the leadsheet. It opens, but not full size. Worse, the scroll bars at the bottom are off the scree so I have to make the screen full size, then start work.

Is there a way I force the leadsheet to open full size? Or is it just me?

Thanks

Kelso,

Have you tried "Opt | Return to factory settings" and then selecting the top option, "Return to most factory settings"?

This might correct the issue. Selecting the top option will not reset all you audio and midi set-up.

Regards,
Noel

Hi Noel - Thanks. I was hoping someone would tell me to change a setting or technique before "returning".

I have a friend who has the same issue. Now, you didn't say, but may I infer from your answer that when you open the leadsheet view yours pops up full screen?

To be more clear, when I open the leadsheet, it opens almost full screen, but the top edge is just below the menu bar, and the bottom edge, with scroll bar, is off the screen. If I maximize to full screen, then close the view, then reopen it, it comes back short again.

Anyone else?

Yes, I can confirm on my system that going into the Leadsheet view hides the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom. Maximize the window to see it, then exit the Leadsheet view, then return, and again the bottom scrollbar is hidden.

I'm even more confused by the vertical scrollbar on the right. On my system, that vertical scrollbar doesn't do anything.? I recall noticing this and thinking I couldn't get to the rest of the song, so I got into a habit of not using the Leadsheet view. At least this thread has helped me learn something.

In case it matters: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

There is nothign to fear from the Return to Factory Settings. Especially if you visit it beforehand and get the snapshot of everything the way you like it to be when BB is still running fine. If you do that, the Return to Factory Settings is actually a "Return to MY ORIGINAL Settings" and nothing to lose there.

I don't know why people insist on viewing the Return to Factory Settings as something so awful, yet many of the same then report that they performed a total reinstall of Band in a Box instead. ?

There's a bullet hole in the foot in there somewhere...

Mac - I don't consider it awful - just not always my first choice when I don't understand whats going on.

Do you confirm this behavior?

I cannot duplicate at this time, but am running only one monitor on this laptop.

Will try it on the big machine with multiple mons when I get back home, but don't recall having such problems with that. Which is why I'm thinking it just might be a rogue setting soemwhere in your BB that a Return to Factory just might solve for you. And if it doesn't, you can always revert back to the previous setup with BB.

Well, I get exactly the same and have wondered why!?! I have just done the most factory settings reset and it hasn't changed anything.

Thanks, parmstro, that's good information.

Have both of you downloaded and installed the latest PATCH UPDATE to BB?

If so, I'd be wondering if this may be OS specific, it might be good to know which Operating Systems are involved. I see from kelso's dotsig file that Win7 is one of them. Maybe,.

FWIW I get the same. A vertical scroll bar that virtually fills the RHS, and does nothing (is not scrollable)
If I double click the title bar to maximize, it fills the screen space correctly. If I then close and reopen, it hides the lower part of the page behind the Windows task bar again.

However, if I simply re-size to a new reposition without maximizing, when I close and reopen, it restores back to the last used position.

I am running 2013 build 366 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Screen Res is 1920 x 1200 (might be related...)

Could it be as simple as opening options in the leadsheet window and changing the number of staves or the number of bars? Later, Ray

Windows 7 Home Premium, BIAB Build 366 (has done it on previous builds as well). Changing bars / staves has no effect on the problem.
