I'm thinking of the Fernandes bass that I have played a couple of times at stores. From what I recall, they were nearly the same thing. Same with the U-bass ukulele bass with the same rubbery strings on them. These strings are probably much more stiff from what John describes. John - I think the RS buzzers are pretty much what the K+K line of pickups are. http://kksound.com/products/doublebigtwin.php I have their mini pure western installed in my Larrivée acoustic guitar.
