When I select "Track Type (Bass)" for the Soloist part, the notation still shows the treble clef with all the notes below the staff. Is there a way I can get this to display the notes in the bass clef?

Hi mdHitchcock, Welcome to the forums  I've just had a play around with the Soloist and setting the track to 'Bass'. To answer you question fully, though, could you please let us know what you'd like to be able to do? It might well be that using the Soloist track is not the best option for your needs. I am a beginning bass player. I want to write out bass parts and play along with them. I need to have the notes displayed in bass clef for reading practice and tab to figure out how to play the lines.

I've been playing around with the 'Bass' track type on both the Melody and the Soloist tracks and I haven't yet managed to get it to display both tab and bass clef. I suspect that this is because the nature of the Melody and the Soloist tracks is that they are for treble clef instruments.
I loaded a Bass Realtrack that had notation attached to it, Realtrack #443, went into Notation Mode and set the clef to "Tab" (Under "Opt") and the display was in bass clef and with tab notation.
With the above in mind, try writing your bass lines on the "Bass" track. Once you're written them, 'Freeze' the track so that you input is not lost when the song is generated. Then, under "Opt" select "Tab". See if that works for you.

Try this:
In the notation window, go to the PRINT button. In the window, look for 'Clefs split at' and change the value to "C6" Then CLOSE the window.
This is why you should write the bass parts in the Bass Part. The normal setting for the print layout, for the treble-clef tracks, is 'Clefs split at C4."
Switch back and forth between C6 and C4 a few times to see what I am talking about.

It is the "Options" in the Notation View where you can set the Clef and the note positions on the staff, also select whether or not you wish to see TAB.
NOT the Print button, the OPTIONS button.
However, first make sure that if you are using a Bass Realtrack that the word BASS up at the top Track Indicator is underscored, indicating that Notation is available. There are some Realtracks that were made before that feature was available that don't have the Notation Feature.
