How does one get a note on the treble clef & another note on the bass clef at the same beat resolution? I want to basicly create a 2 note chord with a note on each clef. In the notation window options screen I have the auto hand split piano track checked & the clefs split @ C5 checked, & the "concert piano (both clefs)" selected from the drop down transpose option. For some reason when I check the OK it reverts back to "any" @ the top of that menu. When I click on a note on the bass clef it replaces the note directly above it on the treble, or vise versa. Also, for example it will not let me insert a note above a B @ on the top line of the bass clef. Instead, it will show up on the trebel 2 ledger lines below it. I've tried different settings & I can't figure this one out. I click the default settings & still no good. I'm trying to create little songs for my little grand daughter who wants to learn keyboard, but right now grandpa is stumped.

First, reboot the computer, it may just be a case of lost resources.
If no joy from the reboot, go to the Options menu in BB, select "Return to Factory Settings" which often restores stuff that BB is supposed to do but for some reason stops doing it.
It does work, I do exactly the same thing all the time.
What VERSION of BB are you running, and have you installed the latest Update file for that version? (Look under Help -> About for Version and update number).

Russ, When I read your post, it made me think that you might have "Mono" activated as the input method in Editable Notation Mode. In the image below, you can see that I have "Mono" active (top right). If your setup is the same, simply remove the check mark.  Hope this helps, Noel

Thank you so much. I had to reboot it several times, the last time I left it down for 15 min. before starting back up, then it ran properly. Go figure. I have the 2012 version of BIAB for almost 2 years now, & have barely got past rudimentary functions. I've learned by trial & error (the hard way) & also by FAQ & surfing the forums. Thanks again.

Thank you. That wasn't the problem, but will certainly remember the mono box if needed. I have to get past my pride & ask dumb questions sometimes. I fixed it by rebooting several times. Duh.
