I have just purchased the 2014 version yesterday but from what I can see it does not support 6/8 time. Is this right?
I would be grateful for any info

First welcome here!
I am not an expert (or even journeyman) on BIAB time signatures, and this might NOT help, but check under Styles: on left middle of main BIAB screen where it says Song see the Style button, click on the word Style > "Style Picker (Browse all styles)" when next window opens look on the left scrolling list for "Odd Time Signatures" then see on the right at two 6/8 styles: one Bossa Nova and one Jazz
Maybe that will get you going - hope so

I have just purchased the 2014 version yesterday but from what I can see it does not support 6/8 time. Is this right?
I would be grateful for any info Hi and Welcome. Band in a Box can SOUND like 6/8 time by using 3/4 styles, too, where it takes two bars of 3/4 and the right Tempo setting to equal 1 bar of 6/8. Can also sound right using 3 bars of 3/4 to equal 9/8, or 4 bars to equal the sound of 12/8. There are also certain of the "SW" Swing styles that can sound like 12/8 because Swing style subdivides each beat into 3's. Note carefully that it "sounds" right when entered right. For Notation purposes, the above can't "LOOK" right on the staff. If trying to enter a 6/8 song by copying a chart that is in 6/8, takes a bit of getting used to, especially if transcribing a Melody onto the BB Melody Track. I find it much easier to either Record to MIDI from keyboard in realtime, or use the QWERTY keyboard wizard to tap in the Melody part rhythmically during Playback of the autoaccompaniment. Thanks to both for the info much appreciated. I discovered this when I was trying to import a Scottish Jig when it told that it would imported in 4/4 because 6/8 was unsupported.

Yes, there are lots of ways to feel meter. In 4/4, if each quarter note duration is played as an eighth note triplet, you have a 12/8 feel in one measure. Or, again in 4/4, if each half note duration is played as a quarter note triplet, you can have a 6/8 feel in a 4/4 bar. Or it can be done over two bars of 3/4 or ...
In BIAB, you can have no more than 4 beats in a measure, so getting the feel of 5/4, 6/8 etc. requires workarounds.
