I just bought the BB 2014 everything PAC with the bonus 12 PAC
When purchasing it did not ask me about my operating system. I'm wanting to mainly use it on windows 7 but temporarily on XP until I buy a new machine in April. Is it one version fits all windows operating systems?
I noted it is giving me an optional upload. I want to just run it off the hard drive so I can run it on my laptop (windows 7) and my desktop (currently XP). Is there any need to download the program? Any extra features from downloading the program?

I've been merrily plugging the USB drive into XP, Win7, and Win8 machines, runs well on all. When you get the new machine, just run the installer on the usb drive to install only the PG Music fonts and the PG Music plugins plua any DX synth you may need, like maybe the Coyote Forte. IKMultimedia plugins such as the SampleTank and Amplitube would, of course, also be an extra install as well. BB itself runs fine off of the USB drive here. So I don't install it to c drive at this point. I noted it is giving me an optional upload. Thank you. No need to download any of the download linked files if you've already got the hard drive in hand. But be sure to visit the Updates page and download the latest update file and install it to the bb on the USB drive, that fixes several things and you want to be up to date and asfully operational as possible. And, Frank, if you run into any problems at all you can also give old Mac a ringy-dingy, you've got the number, my friend. --Mac

Good advice above. Also Frank, be aware that version 2014 adds product activation for the first time. There are a number of threads about that, but the bottom line is you can have up to 3 machines and you can transfer from one to another. You also have 30-days before needing to activate. So you should be able to use 2014 the way you want until you get your permanent machine.
