In BIAB2014, I'm trying to open an mp4 file in order to analyze it's chords using the Audio Chord Wizard. I'm getting an error message which reads:
"Quicktime for Windows needs to be installed or needs to be updated. You have Version 0"
However, I DO have the latest updated for Quicktime installed (Version 7.7.4). FWIW, I'm running Windows 7-64 bit.
Can anyone help me out with why the mp4 won't load? Or suggest anything to try?

Hi newbert, I've occasionally had the same thing happen with certain mp4 files, not sure the why and reason for it, as others work. My workaround is to use Audacity.exe to open the mp4 file and then use the File-Export command in Audacity to export and save as an mp3 file. My workaround is to use Audacity.exe to open the mp4 file and then use the File-Export command in Audacity to export and save as an mp3 file. (which I presently have the trial for) to export the file to WAV, and BIAB loaded it just fine. Strange that BIAB has problems with only certain mp4 files... Now, I have one other question. Does BIAB have a function that would display how to play a given chord on the keyboard? For example, is there away to click on or highlight a chord on the song score and have the "Big Piano" show the chord? I've looked at Chord Builder and Chord Options so far. While they each will play the chord, they don't show the keys on the keyboard. IF BIAB does not have this type of functionality, do you know of an app or program that does? (ie - type in a chord name and have it displayed on a piano keyboard)? Thanks again.

BB can show you what any of the Piano tracks are playing using BB's onscreen Piano.
There are also a couple of styles designed to just play the chords which might come in handy for the beginner.
HELDBOSA.STY. - This one has a Bossa beat, but all the chords are HELD, making it easier to see on the onscreen keyboard.

There's others, such as the Simple Solo Piano styles, too.

Highlight the desired track, hit play and watch the keyboard. If it doesn't show the notes being played you missed a checkbox somewhere .. likely in the piano display options.

Hmmm....Not working for me. I believe that may be because this is an SGU file that was created by the Audio Chord Wizard (originally from am mp3 file) and transferred into BIAB. So, I don't think there's anything on the tracks yet, other than the original Audio file. FWIW - It's Alison Krauss's "Can't Find My Way Home". I can figure out most of the chords myself, but am not familiar with "sus" chords. For example, there's Asus, Dsus, A7sus, etc. If someone can explain the structure of these "sus" chords, I should be able to work them out along with any inversions, etc. Thanks!

A sus chord is a chord with the 4th note of the major scale replacing the 3rd. Thus an Asus chord would be A-D-E, a Dsus chord would be a D-G-A and an A7sus chord would be A-D-E-G, that is an Asus with the added 7th.
Google/Bing the fingerings if you need. Also most guitar chord books include these fingerings.

Without any MIDI the piano display will be blank.
Generate something on one of the track so the piano display has something to work with.
