Greetings:
Someone asked me if I had tested my sound card lately and of course I said yes with BIAB.
Well that was not enough they said, so I got a little secret they told me to really check my card for proper engineering levels.
They said type in Haynes Baked Beans Co. by Cinesite and click on the video at the tube, so I did and turn your level up to at least 25 and listen for the proper air signal from the man. Ok so I did and to my surprise all is well with my system, how about yours?

I'm skeptical of trying anything related to audio testing that uses the highly compressed sound from YouTube.
Who is "someone"? Who are "they"?

It would be impossible to perform a sound test with any audio streamed over the Internet, unless it's to test if your speakers are working. How do you quantify any results?
I think it's more likely a way to get a few hits on their web site.
Like Matt indicated: Be wary, be very wary.

Maybe they should have actually hit the given Youtube and actually viewed same before jumpin' in there, I'd seen it already as someone somewhere had already pointed to it, the "goin' viral" thang. Just a bit of junior-high style humor, but done with pretty decent video values. As for "testing the soundcard" - well, after all, they ARE the "Musical Fruit"...  --Mac

Mac, Matt and Video thanks for at least posting your opinion, I value it much.
Mac funny you should point out the "Just a bit of junior-high style humor" thing.
One of my boys at that age who does animation showed it to me a few weeks ago and I just couldn't stop laughing!

The guy who starts off by saying, "this is a joke" is the guy who "just can't tell a joke"... Not sure I understand Mac. I just checked, and the O/P didn't start off by saying this was a joke. After other reasonable responses, he posted again and only in his third post there was an indication that it was humor. So I don't think this started off as anyone saying "this is a joke". Have I missed something here?

Well yipee, my sound system seems to be 100% working, I definitely heard the air horn sound at the end. Oh and by the way, we don't get that brand here in the UK. All we can get is a sound alike make.
