I was trying to find a different sound for the bridge of a 251 practice track and noticed as I changed the chords, the sound didn't change to the new chord. I thought it was my ear but even from a minor chord to a maj7. No change. Must be something I don't understand about entering chords in BIAB.
Don't overlook the fact that if you are using a version of BiaB previous to BB2014, that you have to hit the REgenerate button and not just the Play button in order for the program to be able to incorporate any changes you have made into the autoaccompaniment.
Hitting the Play button in any of the older versions will just replay the first generation again.
Also make sure there are no asterisks in front of the Track Names, which indicate that the Track has been Frozen. To remove those, RightClick on the Trackname(s) and select Unfreeze. Then hit Regenerate button.
The tracts are not frozen and I was selecting the generate icon. I also tried right clicking on a track and selecting Regenerate from the drop down. I previously had deleted the offending chords but they are still playing. Thanks for the tips. I did learn about freezing tracts in the meantime. What else could be going on? P.S. Windows 7, 64 bit, BIAB 2013 on the external drive.

Would be a lot faster solve if you could find a file sharing free site, like dropbox, upload that file and post a url to it here, so we can take a look at what the tracks show this end.
Hi Joey I downloaded both files, the SGU plays in BiaB and definitely plays the correct chord changes. Be aware that the chords you have chosen all have overlapping identical notes in their respective makeup.
E.g: Dm7 has D, F natural and C natural G7 has G, D, B and F natural CM7 has G, B and C natural
Can you see how there are common notes that may make the chords sound a little bit similar?
And of course you have 8 consecutive bars of GM7, so you wouldn't expect to hear any change during this section.
I can assure you that I can hear the chord changes, even though some may be subtle.
Hope this helps Regards
Trevor

Hi Mac, When the tune gets to bar 17, there is a distinct chord change. Definitely not a continuation of the Gmaj7 in bar 16. It goes to the minor sus chord I used to have at bar 17. I know this does not help you but I'm sure what I'm saying is accurate. Maybe I should return the HD to PGmusic for testing? I think the warranty is about to expire.

It definitely wasn't going to a minor sus on mine, and the notation seems to verify (see below). I didn't think BiaB could do a minor sus chord anyway. You can enter a minor b5 though (GH) which is not the same.
The notes below definitely don't show any minor (which would require Bb) at bar 17.
However, you have the song in C Major, and it should probably be in D minor. Change it if required from the RH column, not the LH column.
I doubt this is a warranty issue - really.
Anyway, does this help?

If you have been playing around with rendering, it might be that the rendered file is playing along with the song generation. Under normal circumstances, this would probably go unnoticed. When you change chords, though, the unchanged chords in the rendered file would still be heard and would play against the song file.
As a simple test to determine whether or not this is the case, try the following ...
1. Go to the Audio menu shown below (highlighted yellow).
2. Click on "Mute" to activate it and then try changing your chords. See if there is any difference.
If it turns out that this is the problem, you can always use the "Kill audio" option to delete the audio file that is creating a nuisance.
This may or may not be the answer but it is worth trying.
Bingo Noel! That was the problem. I can make chord changes now like I expected. Wonderful.......Thanks
You're an Ace Noel, nailed it in one!

Noel simply took a look at the information already found, plus the new info added by the user with the problem, and moved on to the next most probable cause of the problem.
Team Effort. Noel is a gem in that aspect and very truly appreciated by yours truly. He understands the spirit of these forums well, a spirit that we do try to keep and nourish around here.
The unique aspect of problem solving via the forum is one of obtaining all the pertinent information needed to figure out what is really going on at the other end and it is often the case that we have to ask the OP a series of questions, typically only one or two at at time, then await their answer before going to the next necessary clue, and so on.
The whole point is to help the person with the problem. Or it should be.
