Hi everyone  ... i am trying to cut half of a bar so i can put a green marker on the start of my chrs ..but i cant figure out how to put the blue or green marker in the middle of the bar ..(for example on beat 2 if it was a 1/4 time signature ..is there a way to cut a bar in half? or a way to put the blue or green marker in the middle of the bar?

Use F5 on that bar and change the number of beats. It will normally be a 0 for a 4/4 bar; change the 0 to 2, for example, if you want a 2/4 measure. Don't forget to do F5 on the next bar and put 4 there if you want 4/4 time to resume.
The part markers can only be at the start of a bar.

With real tracks i tried to use that, a 4/4th song switching to 2/4th with a hold on instruments for one bar and back to 4/4th. Alas you'll find that when switching back to 4/4th the rendered realtracks are gone for a bar or so on the start of the following 4/4th bar. Is there a way around this? PS I wrote about this about a year ago and remember Peter Gannon mentioning something like an issue that would be looked into ... -F

Hi Fiddler,
Not so long ago I wrote a song that had a few changes from 4/4 to 2/4 and back again to 4/4 and everything worked fine for me when the song was generated.
What version of BIAB do you have?
Also, did you try it without the holds to see if they were creating the problem?

-F, I don't get empty bars like you describe. What are the RealTracks you are using, so we can try it?
It might be that the Holds file needs a fix. However, in addition to Noel's questions, are you up to date on RealTracks patches?

Most if not all of the Bluegrass Realtracks and Styles in BBa are done in a double-time rhythm notation that makes 4-to-the-bar sound like it is the classic 8-to-the-bar feel.
Try dividing your math in half again or doubling it to get the desired timing.

I also sent it to support about a year ago. Haven't tried it out since 2014 came out - should do that.
