Hi,
I have never experienced this before. When I start up Biab I get 4 boxes stating:
Warning: Your current drum kit has no bass drum note assigned
Warning: Your current drum kit has no snare drum note assigned
Warning: Your current drum kit has no closed high hat note assigned
Warning: Your current drum kit has no open high hat note assigned
I can only press ok in these boxes. Real drums don't generate sounds whatsoever.
What can be the problem here and even more important: does anybody know how to resolve this?

Never saw that before. Try Return to Factory Settings in Options.

Thanks for the reply. I already did that: now the warnings have disappeared, but still no sound from the realdrums :-(

Are you sure you have Realdrums enabled? Sounds like a Midi issue. Preferences Drum Kit will show you how your Midi drums are mapped. I don't know how it relates to RDs though.
Also, can you play RT's? If not, maybe it is an audio issue with your soundcard. I lost all audio within BIAB once. Audio outside worked fine. I had to do a Restore. I use Vista.

Worked for me here and evidently also for others.

When you press Play, does the Drum track turn green at the top of the screen? If it is not green, open the RealDrums Settings dialog and check the 'substitute...' checkbox.
If it does turn green, then RealDrums are playing but you can't hear them, and you probably can't hear RealTracks or the audio track either. If this is the case, and you *can* hear the MIDI tracks, then you probably aren't using a DXi/VSTi synth. There are two most likely possibilities - either there is a volume control turned down or muted in the Windows mixer (double-click the speaker icon in your task bar), or there is a problem with the audio driver setup in Band-in-a-Box (Opt.-Preferences-Audio-Driver)...
