I just received the information (in German, so I don't provide links) that the new "Paragon Drive Copy 14 Professional" could copy your XP "computer" onto an USB drive even with the working OS. The sales pitch says that you could run it from a later OS.

So if your new computer is off the Internet, you might have a relative hazardfree possibility to still run your installation.

I don't know and have not investigated if your 32bit installation runs as such on a 64bit host.
