For those who create songs with BIAB, but for some reason don't sing by themselves, the following may be useful: Rob has created several free Vocal Packs in the past, mainly for use in DAWs. However they may also be useful in your Band in a Box arrangements. The samples are completely royalty-free (free as in 'free beer'). You can also use them for your commercial music projects. You can download the packs from the Vocalpack section on his website (you can also watch some preview videos): Rob's Musical Homepage If you use them, we are very curious to hear the results (however you're not obliged to). I can't comment on this product, but when I downloaded the first sample Vocalpack files from the link above, the Winzip feature included with it hijacked my browser - requiring me to jump through all the required hoops to get back to a prior Windows restore point.
This happened even though I declined the offer to make their sponsored link my homepage.
just an old analog dog tryin' to learn new tricks...

I haven't had that problem yet, you should only click on the green download button (ignore the rest of the page). All sample packs are in rar/zip format. Save the file on your computer and extract it with winrar. However, here is a direct link from dropbox: direct link The download links of the other two vocal packs are all dropbox links, so they shouldn't cause any problems. Simply click the blue download button and save the file to your computer. regards, R & AM

Can you describe in more detail exactly what the "Vocal Packs" are?
In Kontakt for example....I have choir vocal samples ....oooohs and ahhs, and vowels in both male and female. You can hear them in use in my song called Give Me A Chance on my music page.... they are in the part where the little girl is singing the chorus near the end.
Just being curious here about what you have and are offering.

Hello Guitarhacker, The sample pack consists of mashed up singing lines of some of our previous compositions. Others are improvised purely for the vocal packs. That means that all samples contain lyrics. Quite some people find this inspiring and used them for their own compositions. Here is a good example: Words you say by Le Sixieme Jour Using the samples in your songs is a question of trial and error, some may be very functional in one specific arrangement, others may not work.
