I'm in the process of redoing all of my BIAB tunes in RB. The only thing I'm saving from the .MGU file is the piano part. Using the Forte I've been converting the MIDI part to an audio track per the above command. The first time I try to convert the program goes through gyrations, names a new track but it contains no audio. I do it again and it goes through the same gyrations however much slower and the track is properly created. Happens every time.

Dang Silvey, i hate when that happens!!! RB does some funky stuff sometimes but I have not seen that one, but will investigate and reply. Hopefully someone in the kaaanow will cooome by!

Hmmm what are your from-thru settings?
Does it only do this with the Forte (have you tried the VSC DXi just to test it?)
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

This morning I can't make it do it. I'll be working on songs through out the day and see what happens and try to be mindful of the circumstances when/if it happens.

1st thing I try whenever BB/PT/RB doesn't do what she is supposed to do is the reboot.
(If that doesn't "bring it back" then it is the Return to Factory Settings dance that is tried next.)

Yes Mac I agree. The reboot must have fixed it. I'm now trying to decipher what causes it. It happens quite frequently.

Its funny you should bring this one up. I have had this same problem off-and-on for some time now. Its got to the stage where I almost take it for granted.....sort of expecting it not to go through first time.
The other strange thing is that if I am converting several tracks, its only the first one that seem to have the most problems. I've put this down to one of those 'querks' that happens from time to time with RB...........doesn't exactly stop you doing what you want, just doesn't do it as you expect.

+1.........Not always, but if it happens its usually only on the first track, after that all the others in that .seq move right along as they should.
