BIAB2014/5 - I generated a simple rock arrangement which is all fine apart from one chord (over 2 beats) whioh I'd prefer to be played one octave higher. Is there a way to indicate this when entering the chord name? Or is it a minor surgery adjustment of the bar settings? I looked for a long while already but just can't find the right option.BTW this is also just one chord which repeats in other verses but is not a whole section. Thanks for any help

Hi Rob,
If you are talking Realtracks, there is no way to adjust which octave the chord is played in. It's possible to try different regenerations and maybe one of those generations will produce the wanted inversion of the chord.
Pitching shifting a generated Realtrack chord is also possible but pitch shifting by one octave is substantial and it might not give the best results.
If you are working with midi rather than Realtracks, adjusting the octave of the chord is easily accomplished in Piano Roll or Notation Mode.

Thanks for the feedback and for understanding my query.
Pleased in a way I wasn't missing something fundamental and obvious.
Yes it is a real track and I'll save a version for this instrument per generation - so I don't lose the feel I like and to see if the alternatives give me the result I need. Failing that I'll experiment with pitch shifting that chord during editing/mixing in my DAW ... or even record my own overdub.

Rob, Noel is right and multiple regenerations may be your best bet. One other approach to consider is sneaking in a few MIDI notes where you need them to change the voicing. Although I primarily do this with bass lines, it is remarkable how the RealTracks can mask a little added MIDI so that the combination sounds just fine.
