Hello,
Je vais très prochainement changer mon clavier. J'hésite encore un peu entre un Korg Kronos 2 et un Yamaha Tyros 5. Ce sera probablement le Tyros. Pour plein de raisons, dont ... le panneau arrière qui est ce que j'ai vu de mieux, la fiabilité (Yamaha semble meilleur que Korg), la facilité d'emploi (seul, comme avec BIAB) ou en groupe et plein d'autres détails. Avec des machines de ce niveau, l'on ne trouve rien de franchement mauvais et le choix est délicat. Le Tyros me semble plus en adéquation avec mon usage personnel.
Ma question : quelle sera la "relation" entre BIAB et le Tyros? Je possède BIAB depuis la version Atari et j'ai, bien entendu, fait pas mal de choses avec. Que puis-je importer dans le Tyros et comment (je peux utiliser des fichiers midi, mais, quoi d'autre ?) Quid des MIDI SuperTracks, styles, songs ...
Et bien sûr, l'opération inverse : comment commander le Tyros à partir de BIAB (ou RealBand)?

Bonjour,
Bien qu'ils aient tous les 2 l'extention .STY, les styles BIAB et Yamaha ne sont pas compatibles : les styles BIAB sont différents patterns de 1 à 2 mesures avec chacun un poids d'occurence. Les stytles Yamaha sont constitués de bout de séquences MIDI.
Les fichiers MIDI issus de BIAB pourront être lus sur le Tyros 5, y compris s'ils incorporent une Super MIDI track.
Le Kronos2 n'a pas la même vocation que le Tyros 5 qui lui est un arrangeur H/W temps réel.

Bonjour,
Merci. Donc, fichiers midi ou mp3 utilisés comme "backtracks".
Tout le monde me dit "le Kronos est une machine fantastique, Il y a tout Korg dedans. Mais achetez plutôt ... n'importe quoi d'autre". J'aimerais enfin savoir ce que cela veut dire ou cache. Bien sûr, aucune info sur les sites "dédiés", d'où ce petit hors-sujet.
Si j'ai BIAB depuis si longtemps, j'ai l'impression que le Tyros me conviendrait mieux, mais difficile de juger, pas mal de magasins n'ayant pas l'autre, que je n'ai pas encore pu essayer.
"Le Kronos2 n'a pas la même vocation que le Tyros 5". Bien. Ce sont tous deux des workstations, non ? Quelle est donc la vocation du Kronos ?
Merci d'éclairer ma lanterne sur ce point qui me semble fort étrange !

Je n'ai ni l'un ni l'autre...Le Kronos a des fonctions de multi synthé très puissantes. Le Tyros est un arrangeur de haut gamme. En fait, ils sont complémentaires....

Si tu t'aventure dans les joies de la synchronisation MIDI entre BIAB et ton futur Kronos, ne te prive pas de venir en parler ici. Ça pourrait m'aider pour régler mon problème expliqué dans un autre topic...

Où puis-je trouver une patch map ou un tutoriel pour en faire une ?

J'ai l'impression que tu parles surtout des possibilités de sélectionner les sons de ton Kronos depuis BIAB plus que de faire tourner leurs séquenceurs respectifs ensembles. Me trompe-je? Si j'ai raison, alors tu n'utilise pas le bon terme lorsque tu parles de "synchroniser" les deux. En MAO et en MIDI, on parle de "synchroniser" deux machines lorsqu'on souhaite leur faire faire lire une séquence chacune ensemble. En clair, le tempo d'une des deux machines est envoyée à l'autre qui s'y conforme, et la position temporelle est la m^m entre les deux bécanes. On utilise généralement pour ça différents types de messages MIDI d'un type un peu particulier comme par exemple le MIDI-Clock, le SMPTE (plutôt destiné à la synchro entre un enregistreur audio/MIDI et un lecteur vidéo), le MTC, le MIDI MACHINE CONTROL, etc... En lisant tes posts, je comprends tout autre chose. Si je suis bien, tu cherche à sélectionner un son dans BIAB et que BIAB envoie alors un message de type PROGRAM CHANGE, LSB/MSB, SysEx, etc, pour que ton Kronos sélectionne le bon patch. Si c'est bien ça, alors oui, ça peut être plus ou moins compliqué. Dans le meilleur des cas, tu parviens à trouver LE fichier pour TON synthé adapté à TON logiciel. Dans le pire des cas, tu dois le concevoir en totalité toi m^m. Et dans le cas intermédiaire, tu démarre d'un fichier destiné à piloter une version différente de ton synthé, et tu te lance dans son adaptation pour le tiens. Donc, si j'ai bien compris, tu as un peu de travail devant toi. Il y a quelques années (putain, 2003... :-/ ), j'ai rédigé ce tuto: http://www.espace-cubase.org/page.php?page=appcubmanageurIl concerne le pilotage d'un Yamaha QY-70 depuis Cubase (SX à l'époque) et sera donc très éloigné de ce que tu cherches, mais il te permettra peut-être d'y voir un peu plus clair et de comprendre où orienter tes recherches.

Merci pour la réponse. Tu as raison, je me suis mal exprimé, et pourtant je bidouille la midi depuis ... que j'avais un Sequential Circuits et un Sinclair ZX81 adapté pour l'occasion (64 Ko de mémoire, 2 prises midi et des programmes en assembleur de mon crû !).
Ce que je veux faire est simple : jouer ce qui sort de BIAB dans mon Kronos et l'inverse, recevoir et enregistrer dans BIAB quand je joue.
Donc, il me faut faire une patchmap du Kronos pour BIAB et RealBand.
J'ai tenté le coup en suivant les instructions de BIAB à partir d'un fichier Cakewalk du Kronos 1 ... mais rien ne fonctionne.
Je vais y jeter un oeil plus sérieusement.
Il doit aussi y avoir des pbs de configuration d'E/S, mais je pense que j'ai changé ce qu'il faut.
Le son sort toujours sur le PC et rien dans le Kronos. Bizarre ...
Si quelqu'un a une idée ... merci d'avance !
