In the mixer window, there is a global buss section with sixteen volume sliders.
Next to each slider there is a default title labeled "Untitled".
When you click on this text, a window opens that allows the user to custom name each slider.
Problem: The user title never saves.
This is a problem that has been acknowledged by PG Music in the past, but has never been fixed.
Please fix for the next build.

Note: Message sent to attention of PG Music support.

Wow, I've never noticed that.
This feature seems kind of doomed to fail though. I tried naming it to the Port (output) it was routed to, but then realized if I opened this file on another system it would be labeled wrong.
So I have to ask; how were you planning on using this feature? What would you name them?

I agree it should be fixed one way or the other, but I'm curious as to your implementation intentions ..

All of my work here is saved as SEQ files. Therefore, each file should save this information for that individual project.

Example (Groups):
1. "Master" (Master volume & FX for all tracks)
2. "Instruments" tracks group (Group volume & FX for all instrument tracks only)
3. "Vocals" tracks group (Group volume & FX for all vocal tracks only)
Etc, for strips 4-16

Each strip has "global" effects required for tracks assigned to that group.
Problem is, when I relabel the strip title for future reference, it does not save.
How could anyone remember 16 strips custom labeled for multiple projects unless they got saved with the individual SEQ files?

All 48 regular tracks retain their labels, these should too. Why else would we be able to open that little Title window if there was no intent to save the information?

Make sense?

Don

Interesting
I tend to use AUX sends for the purpose you mention, not the Output Groups .. so I never noticed this.
I tend to think of those Outputs as port routing rather than FX groups, though any mastering effects should be used in A1.
Thanks for explaining, and I agree with John; please send this to support. It definitely should not appear to Save and not actually Save (or not recall what you saved when Opened again).
Being a programmer I'd be interested in knowing where the problem actually occurs.
(Is it when you Save or when you Open?)
It appears the Save function works and it just isn't implemented when you actually Open the file again.

Just got a "Put it on the wishlish" reply from support.
What?

"I wish we got what we already paid for."

Hello?
A problem acknowledged long ago and is still not fixed.
How difficult is it to make something save and/or open correctly as expected?
A simple tiny window for a user to add a title and poof, it vanishes!

Seriously?

Yes, I've often wondered why these labels don't stick. It would be a very useful feature.
