I had posted previously that the REST feature didn't work using a mix of RealTracks and MIDI tracks, but when I opened the '=GeorgeP.mgu', (one RT and four MIDI tracks), and put in a REST, (in this case with Chord Hold for All Instruments on Beat 1), the chord turned red with three red dots after it like it should, and worked when I played the song. So it seems to work in this case, but not in my case, which smacks of USER ERROR with my project.
This is the way I have been using BB:
I Open BB and then Open ACW to load in the mp3 I want to work on. Once ACW does it's thing and I finish tweaking, I send it back to BB. However, because I can still hear the original recording, I Copy the chord chart and Paste it into a New session. Now I only hear the song with the style I selected applied to it. So far, so good. But when I put in a REST in to this song, BB doesn't see it and plays right on through. Since I know BB honors the REST in a mixed style such as the '=GeorgeP.mgu', and it doesn't the way I have been doing things, I need help in figuring out where I am going wrong.

If you have Audio on the Audio track, as you would after importing from the ACW, it is recommended that you RightClick on the Audio label at the top right of the instruments and just choose to MUTE the audio in that song. Then continue working. Likely there is other data than just the chords after using the ACW and copying the chords and pasting into a New file doesn't bring that data along with it.
Also, pay attention to the Style window, after ACW song import there will be an X in front of the stylename, showing that Styles have been disabled. RightClick on the Style name to enable the style after muting the Audio, then pick a suitable style that fits the song.

Mac...thanks for the great tips. A BIG help. And while I was trying them out, I found a way to make the REST feature work.
