Is there a way to change the data like genre etc in the style picker? Particularly with imported styles. I read about LS3 files but they don't seem to address all the "fields" of the style picker window.

If you press Clear first, isn't it possible to just enter text into the search filter? Does this give you the results you need?

Not really. I'd like to change "latin" to something else in the line itself. I'd want to change to say, country so that style shows up if I filter to country. Does that make sense? Importing a style sets it to genre=jazz. That's not always correct. That's what I want to change.
VideoTrack, he wants to change the Genre of its imported styles.
I know the problem, and I reported it to PG staff. All my user styles are either Pop genre or Jazz genre. That has no sense. Up to now, we have no way to change that. We consider it is a regression vs the 2015 version, where we could change what we wanted. We have also lost the categorization possibility of our user styles. Hope PG people will fix that in the next build.
We used to be able to change that information through the use of the BBW.LST text file (which was editable and used to create the StylePicker list, along with user created .LS3 files for user styles.
I believe that the .LS3 files are still used in building the StylePicker (at least some parts of them) for user styles, but I don't think the BBW.LST is used anymore. Perhaps someone from PGMusic could elaborate.
Of course, the problem with the BBW.LST file is that every update included a new one from PGMusic, so you would end up losing the edits you made unless you kept a backup.
I would like to be able to have better control over the categorization of styles, as well, so hopefully they will bring back editing for the new stylepicker. Perhaps that is on the drawing board, but they just wanted to get the new format out there first. I'm just speculating, however.

Thanks J-L and JF for the clarifications, yes, I see what you mean.

I have BIAB 2013, so there may have been changes, even before the new style picker was introduced.
I was trying to document a series of user styles I had made and wanted to add things like genre but was unable. Jareth from BIAB said:
"Unfortunately that data cannot be added by you. When we create new styles, we compile that data into a file called stylepatches.bin. The data you are importing via the LS3 file is the only data that can appear in the Style Picker for user styles."
I don't know if they are still using the 'bin' file, but for me it says that certain fields are unavailable for inclusion or update. It seems a little trivial that you can update one value but not another.
I was also warned not to update the master list as it would be rewritten with a new update.
