Not to beat this horse to death, clearing all filters, then using a filter string of ragtime, two of the listed styles are: JOPLIN.STY. Scott Joplin Style, and JOPLNORK.STY. Joplin LH 4/4 with Orchestra. However, the unexpected Genre listed for these two styles is Classical. Never would have guessed that. (see image below).
I agree. I would have suspected that the "Genre" would be Ragtime and "Classical" would have been listed in the "Other Genres" column.
If you clear everything and type ragtime into the Filter String box, you get NO entries that are labelled "ragtime" in the Genre column but quite a few in the Other Genres column.
I had to be elsewhere as I submitted my previous post, but I meant to include this also. My intent was not to be critical of BB. As we (the user community) discover what may be just an erroneous entry in say, the genre field in this case, or other elements, we can help PG Music by alerting them. There are a lot of styles and factors to contend with. BB is a great tool, and I have benefited from it since Version 2004.
