This is a song I did for the KM Preview themed quarterly initiative.

This is for my friends that can’t view that forum.
--------------------------------------------------------------

I didn’t think I was going to participate this time with all that is going on around here. But it was raining last night so I couldn’t do any landscaping and the recording session with PSR was cancelled, leaving me with some free time. So I very quickly put together I'm Late

It’s a song about almost not meeting this reviews deadline and how easily side tracked I can be. All done in “touch in cheek” humor.

I hope you like this quick and dirty one.

I arrived early to a restaurant.
The manager asks, "do you mind waiting a bit?"
I said no.
"Good", he said. "Take these drinks to table 3"

Catchy tune. I'm too mentally and physically exhausted to really pay attention to it, especially the words, but it sounds really good to me. I really like the change at two minutes. I'm still listening.

It's good.

I liked it alright. There was definately a sense of urgency to it. The break in the middle is good. Just the kind of mood I was in when I listened to it.

It think this is a good novelty piece, even if it’s hard to catch any of the lyric other than ‘I’m Late’ !

Very creative.

Cool song!
I checked the mediaplayer when the laid-back part started: was it the next song? Very nicely done.
And the speed at which you wrote, played and produced this one....wow

Good job!

Mario! Yeah that's more like, I did get into the chill time break.

Re: the I'm late techno portions, I can just see you and Charlie with the glow sticks hanging from your guitars grinding out the beats for the kids wearing the mohawks and spiked hairdos.

Very creative my friend.

It's LOUSY! ...
It's WET! ....
It's COLD! ...
... But your song just changed ALL that Mario! The Sun came out as I was listening to it... at least it DID in my mind
Country is my thing also, but I just loved this. You got the mood just right, in my opinion. I think life feels like that often for many of us.
Nice one. Keep them coming.

First class, Mario. Original and REAL. Loved the 'drift away' segue and back out again. A great idea well execurted. I really enoyed it.
Don't you find that the best stuff is done when you just take a run and jump at it? Must be that left/right brain thingy.

Mario. My man! This is awesome. I don't know what club scene this would go with but it sure as heck would make for a great movie theme. You ought to try to sell it. See what new movies are coming and pitch it. This is top dawg stuff. Good on ya Mate.

Thanx everyone for listening and the very kind words. I didn’t expect such good response a quick and dirty, very different style for me, piece of music. Thank you all so much.

Danny C – somehow I don’t see “kids wearing mohawks and spiked hairdos” going crazy over an ol’ man with long gray hair and glow sticks

Skyline – Yes I’m finding just running with it is a lot more fun. In fact I am going to change some of my recording habits. Some of my stuff I’ve polished so much the shine is gone, i.e. I lost the real drive feeling. I’m going to be releasing some songs that have the drive even if there are a few small warts in them. Of course my main goal is to capture that feel and play it correctly on the first take. I hope I live long enough for that to happen

Thanx again my friends.

Hmmmm, I guess it all depends on what is in their blood stream at that given moment.

I'm recalling a bigband gig at a kid's club where they had that kinda hair and even crazier. The bar menu had drinks named things like, "Dead Rat".

They were out there pogo dancing to "In the Mood"...
