I'm very interested in the new BIAB 2009 for Mac. I have a feeling there's a real limitation to the use of Real Tracks, though.
Do the performances in RealTracks only follow changes that occur on the strong beats of the measure? In other words, are the real tracks able to follow eighth note and sixteenth note pushes (anticipations) entered into the arrangement?
I'm guessing not, as it would probably involve totally new recordings of alternate performances. But I'd love to be pleasantly surprised!

The RealDrums (and all MIDI tracks) respond to pushes, but the RealTracks don't.

I have Stand alone midi files that the drums sound great in GM. Will band in the box continue making styles that use this? It really helped my tracks when the drums could do the pushes.
The real drums sound out of place on a lot of my old BB sequences.
Real Drums sound great when the track is built around them.

I will continue to make high quality MIDI styles for both the PC and the Mac as long as people want me to make them and purchase them. I've been doing this since 1992. They all respond to pushes, shots, and holds and are extremely editable if you export them to a sequencer or use them RealBand. Will BIAB 2009 for Mac allow me to save individual RealTracks parts as separate audio files?
If so, I guess I could export them individually and edit in my own "pushes" in a separate audio editor (Celemony Cre8 or Logic). I'd want the finished parts to end up in Logic, anyway...
But I'd have to be able to save individual parts as separate (decent-sounding) files.

Yes, very easily. A ctrl-click (or rightclick if you have it) opens the RealTrack menu for each one in a song and there you will find a way to quickly export just that specified track at a time to an audio file, suitable for import into just about any sequencing software.
