OP Phil Babylon Apprentice Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 114	Hi, Can anyone confirm for me that changes made using the tone button in BIAB have no effect when the song is re-opened in Realband? I actually find the tone button quite useful but it's real annoying that when I open a file in Realband, that it just doesn't sound the same tone-wise! Regards all

rharv Veteran Joined: May 2000 Posts: 22,616 Mi., USA	If you did import the audio (as mentioned by Jim above), the Tone Control is available via Edit-Audio Effects-Tone Control Just thought I'd mention it. I realize it doesn't satisfy the original request (and I'd rather use a real EQ anyway) but it's a work-around I am aware of .. though cumbersome. Just throwing that out there It's a hard-write method and not the preferred way here, but anyway, that's where you find this effect in RB currently. Guitarhacker Veteran Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 10,877 Middlesex, NC	I transfer my waves from RB to Sonar. In Sonar, I can add EQ plugins to the tracks to flavor the sound as needed. Using this plugin method for EQ does NOT write the effect to the track unless you "Process Audio". This allows you to hear the effect and still remove or change it before you export/mix down to a wave. You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

OP Phil Babylon Apprentice Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 114	Thanks everyone for the answers. Yep, when I'm doing a finished mix I take things into Reaper. But the live duo I play in has a running spot where people can suggest any song and in the break we knock up a quick and dirty backing track in BIAB. Frustrating sometimes that when we get home and think the track is worth working on in Realband that the sound of the Realtracks isn't instantly the same when we load the song in. Tried doing things directly in Realband at the gig but BIAB is a quicker sketchpad for this kind of exercise. Ah well, you can't have everything!! Thanks again to all.
