Real Tracks are great! But for my taste there is a big gap between Blues/Bluesrock and Metal RTs. Not all users prefer that (real good) american stuff. Is there a Documentation available how to create custom more Riff and classic Rock based RTs. For Realdrums is!

PGMusic has indeed showed us how to make RealDrums tracks.

But they have not revealed the inner workings of how to make a custom RealTrack and I don't think that is in the plans at this point in time.

I've done some consulting work for PG Music by transcribing and editing MIDI files required in the making of Real Tracks. PG Music uses a proprietary process that is not available to users.

Yeah so far, i mean think of it this way. PG is the only product of this kind, so it is really a bonus that we have RTs at all. Any other program requires that you use loops, midi, or audio live recordings. So anything that we have in the way of RTs is great. We still have all the midi tools we can find, and the ability to record our own. Also don't count out colabs, if something is missing, ask around and someone might knock out a track for you. Free or cheap either way it's a win!

Try counting the number of nonjazz styles out already.

PGMusic is trying hard to accomodate all.

There will be more realtracks in the future, that's pretty certain.

Well, there are plenty of Real Tracks we jazz players would like to see, too. This technology is still fairly new. Give it time. In the meantime, however, head on over the the Styles Wishlist forum.

If someone would have told me when I bought my first DOS based BIAB version that one day it would actually show NOTATION in real time I would have though they were crazy ... and if someone later had said BIAB would play solos or create tunes I would have thought they were crazy. The short amount of time between Real Drums and Real Tracks is nothing short of spectacular.

As far as BIAB is concerned, you just have to wait, and things you never even DREAMED of just come true. Over the course of a decade (or approaching two) the miraculous almost appears mundane, but if I had only one piece of software on a desert island (and a boatload of batteries) it sure wouldn't be PowerPoint !!

Mac,

I've been catching up with the forums - been too busy salivating over the Mac version of BIAB to do much else - and I noticed that you'd said that PG Music has shown how to make RealDrum tracks.

Could you point me in that direction please? That is something I would be very interested in.....

Hi Paul,

I looked, even used the rather weird "search" function on this website, but cannot find the tutorial that I'm referring to about how to make your own RealDrums.

There were at least two forum members who made a few, posted same here, maybe one of them will come along to shed light...

Mac and Martin

Thanks very much.

I will be checking that out later this evening and trying to create a style from my collection of Dave Garibaldi loops! If I have success you'll be the first to know....
