yes, i also tried to re-download, reinstall, reset to factory settings,deleting intrface.bbw. no solution

Joe, PG Music know about this bug. Using 'Return to factory settings' causes buttons to disappear. have a look at this threadThere's a post from Peter Gannon about halfway down and some posts by Pat Marr below that. (If I have the link formatted correctly, you should be taken to Peter's post.) See if these help. It's necessary to delete intrface.bbw with BIAB closed and after you've run the 'return to factory settings'. Regards, Noel

It's possible to restore to the previous version but I have never done it and I cannot find any notes on how to do it. I don't know the process. There are a couple of users who will be able to help here. Watch out for jford and Matt Finley.
Other than that, try Live Help. The link is found under the Support link at the top of the webpage.
With your permission, BIAB support staff have the ability to control your BIAB remotely and thus solve problems like this that are challenging.

Joe, first, did you install your 2017 over the same location as 2016?

Joe, work with us and we'll be sure to help you resolve your problem.
In the 2017 version there are two different options for the Toolbars
- The Modern Toolbar
- The Classic Toolbar
When you press Control-T do you see the two different toolbars? Do they both have usable buttons?
What language pack do you have? Are you running a language other than English? If so, there may be ways of resolving until this issue is identified.
If you are running a language other than English, you might try
shutting down Biab
Deleting the \bb\language.ini file,
Running it in English after a restart to see if that resolves.
Another option: Don't delete the language.ini, but instead edit the file and change to "Language=English". See if that resolves.
Most importantly, provide us with as much detail as possible on how you system is operating. This will help to diagnose and resolve your issues quickly, e.g.(you did what, you saw what etc)

If you are using a non English version (e.g German) I would suggest. 1. Make sure you have the latest version, which is version 452 this is shown in about box. Upgrade at support page. http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htm#452 Try that version. That may fix it. There were specific changes in that version for non-English bb. 2. If you still have an issue, try this - quit bb - erase intrface.bbw. In bb folder - (this step is Important as deleting language.ini isn't good enough, because bb will assume you want German if you OS is German) ... Edit the text file language.ini in BB folder and change the line Language=German To Language=English 3. Then run program. It would be in English, but buttons would appear ======= If you do all that, and the program is completely in English, but still lacks the buttons, then likely some install went awry, and images are missing from you bb data images folder. You could revert to previous bbw by finding an older version of bbw.exe and pasting that in. But first rename bbw.exe to something like bbw-2017.exe

Noel I remembered it was something that was picked up in the beta testing, another member Brille had no buttons, and Peter had referred to the language.ini file as being a possible cause. We all learned something new!
