Russ and his friend Tom spent the afternoon building handicap type steps for us. My wife had a hip replacement on the 18th and she will be on a walker for quite a while. She is in a rehab hospital now but should come home soon. It's hard for her to get around, and I may be on a walker later. It was so nice of Russ and Tom to do that for us, they are super good people.

Howard, I thought of you today. I had checked out a Robert Randolph CD from the library and was rockin' out to it while organizing the garage. I know that's probably not your playing style, but I don't know any other pedal steel players - wasn't the most popular instrument in the Detroit area!

"Good on ya" Russ (and Tom).

Respect, Russ and Tom. Good people both, for sure.
Howard, best wishes to your good lady and yourself. Keep on truckin' now.

Well done Russ and Tom.

What a super thing to do,you really are an example
of what friends are,and how to help others in the community.

If these standards were practised on a wider scale, there would not be as much crime
and suffering in the world.

Sorry,I'll get off the box now.

Alan

Hi All and thanks for the nice kudos. I wasn't expecting that. The Lord always admonished us to give service to each other. So if I can do things for my fellow man then I'm Johnny on the spot. Tom, who isn't a member of the forum, is even more so than I am. He's my partner in crime, if you will. We've been best friends for years and are always busy trying to improve the world or out flying our RC Airplanes together when possible. One of my grandsons call us the Mad Scientists because we're always working on projects to make a greener world. Running our vehicles on water, making wind mills, Solar Panels, etc.

Thanks again. And I hope Charlene (did I spell that right?) comes home soon Howard.

I forgot to mention that Russ had to drive well over an hour each way to get here, besides picking up the lumber and getting another friend to measure and cut it. They worked so late we didn't get to jam this time. Thanks again Russ and Tom.
