Hi All,
Here is a song I wrote using BIAB. I am not a musician so I think Band in a Box does a pretty good job
Let me know if you like it.

It's Called : All My Love

Hi George,

I really enjoyed listening to your song. Thanks for taking the time to post it Sounds to me like there's a pretty competent musician lurking behind the BIAB accompaniment despite what you are leading us to believe

Hi PgFantastic, Thanks for the nice comments.

Hi Noel96, Thank you for your comments.
I am one of those people that have music within me, it just comes to the surface from time to time, there really is no rhyme nor reason, it just happens.

Regards
Michee

A BIG +1

You are a very good lyricist and singer. Thus you are a musician.

Hi MarioD, thank you so much for your nice comment.
I really don't see myself as a musician. I never do any gig's, just sit at home, then without really thinking a song or tune will come to me. It takes me ages to arrange it in BiaB, I just go with what sounds nice or fits. there isn't any real musical arranging, just hit and miss.

But I love the BiaB and RealBand Programs.

Best Regards
Michee

Good job.

Can't really hear any telltale "Band in a Box" type stuff at all, that's a good thing.

Mario,

Expressed my thoughts perfectly, all I'll add is that you did a knock out job on the production also.

i really enjoyed that. did you do the vocal doubling yourself? my timing has never been good enough to double my vox so tightly. the only trace of scot in your voice was your pronunciation of 'been' like 'bean' but after hearing gordon brown speak, you and graham wilson may be right.

Hi Mac, I used BiaB to set the backing then saved the song as a Midi File. I then used a Korg Triton Keyboard for the Midi sounds that I then sent to my recording program.

Hi Don,
Thank you for your comments. I actually sang about 6 tracks worth of vocal, went through all individual words on each track, picked the best word from each track (deleted the other Scottish sounding ones) I first saved all the tracks just in case.
When I was happy with the result I then used some of the other vocals in a new track (second best) then adjusted the timing by around 5 clicks so there was a slight delay, set the volume slightly lower and the result is what you hear.

Regards
Michee

Hi George - listened to your tune with my morning cuppa coffee. Nice balance, nice flow, nice voice. Multi vocal tracks is the way to go, then pick and choose your best phrases - called comping, it's a major studio recording technique of the stars. You said there was no rhyme or reason to your songwriting . . . that's when it's fun - an idea from out of nowhere and then you run with it. BIAB is great for that - choose a style, put in a chord progression over eight bars - and see what the resulting music inspires.

You talk about taking out the accent - I was always amazed how the act of just singing could take the Liverpudlian out of the Beatles most of the time. A job well done George.

Hi George,

I'm not sure how you define "musician" but your efforts here I would say more than qualify you!
Very nice tune and melody, not so struck on the multi vocals but that's personal.
And hey! Don't disguise your Scottish accent..... Didn't do the Proclaimers any harm ;o)

Ahhh wood walk fyve hundreeeeed miles ........

Well done buddy,

Dave.

Hi Davemilleruk,
Thanks for your nice comments.
I liked your comment about the Proclaimers

I also think that Muli Vocals can be overdone, but, I just don't have a natural tremelo in my voice so I use the trick of multi vocals.

Michee

i certainly don't want to imply that i don't thoroughly enjoy the Scot's accent, i was only jesting. my mother was of scottish decent and i miss her burr and melodic accent. we also have a dear friend who was born near glasgow and we simply love to listen to her sing and speak. so, no offense intended, please! since i am scottish/irish i assume a poetic licence to make fun of both nationalities. just let me know if i should ever offend. i simply love people.

Hi Don,
Please do not think that you have offended me, I took it in the spirit it was given in.

I have the Scots ability to laugh at ourselves.

I liked it. Has that British sound to it. Kind of a Freddie and the dreamers feel. Good on ya Mate. Very good tune.
