Hi Poppa!
Well, I guess I am the first one to get to rate this one....
I thought is was just excellently produced. The intro was not too long for me, I was just getting into it when the vocals started. The harmonies were perfect. The steel guitars were crying in the back, then I heard a hint of harmonica in the left speaker. Very good song !!!! The end tag was excellent, I had goose bumps on my arms when you did the harmony tag. I cant say enough. I cannot find anything negative about this one at all. Everything was mixed to perfection. Wish it was mine!
Gene

WOW POPPA! That was outstanding. I agree with Gene as he said it all. Great song, production and absolutely perfect guitar parts. Actually everything was absolutely perfect but I’m prejudice to towards guitarists This is a keeper

Well recorded, and mixed. The guys are right a nice song!
One question, why use so many DAW programs?

I use each for the qualities of each I find most useful. One I like to edit midi in over the other, stuff like that. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses for how I like to work. I may track in one - overdub in another midi in another final mix and edit wavs in another.
Thanks for the kind words guys.

Poppa, I'm glad I caught this.....excellent song, playing & mix. Definitely a 'keeper'. Only a very minor change IMHO....after several listens....I would like a just a tad more reverb on your vocal to settle it in the mix. (Normally everyone is saying Less!). Again....great stuff! A really pleasant listen. Regards, Joe G.

Very well executed song -- sounds like a professional demo! I think it wouldn't have hurt to cut the intro in half. Good lyrics and moving performance. Who woulda thunk that BIAB/RB could do all this (if you didn't have BIAB)?

This is a beautiful song. Reminds me of George Jones. I can't see anything wrong except maybe the long intro. The mix and vocals sound perfect. occ

I listened on my laptop speakers and the vocal seemed buried in the mix. The music sounded great, and the vocal was well done to, I just had a hard time understanding some of the lyrics in a few place. Thanks for sharing. Listen To My MusicRead My BlogMy Web PageReverbnation

It's all been said above, only thing I'll add is that while the lyric will stand on it's own I also love the melody. In fact I found my self humming and whistling it hours after I first heard the tune. That is a good thing! One more thing, I'd love to do this song myself.
Later,

pw, simply phenomenal! great vox, great production. i agree about the intro being a tad too long. my ears were getting anxious for the vocals. also, i think 6-plus minutes is a might long for a song in these hurried times. i doubt it would get much air time on the radio. i suggest you cut it down to 3:30 or 4:00 max. but then that's just this man's humble opinion. i really enjoy your wordsmithing. very catchy and memorable phrasing. well done, poppa.

Thanks Don. I agree with everthing you mentioned. If I was going for a try at radio airplay I'd have done it different. I thought it best to let that dream die years ago though. Thanks for the listen and takin' time to let me know whatcha thought though. Always appreciate folks listenin'.

The quality and balance are excellent. Good job on writing. It does have a George Jones feel. I agree with the long intro and length of song. And there are radio stations that play local productions one day a week. We have one here. I've been tempted to submit a couple of mine. But ... I don't have the money or time to get into production if I suddenly got a big demand for the cut.
This is really great work.
