once while getting some help from Kent he suggested I move the song folder to a new location. I don't remember where it was or why I needed to move it.
But I've been having trouble getting to my songs ever since. I've been working on tunes and classes and not using biab much lately.
Where should the song folder live? I have audiophile 2015 on a Toshiba laptop.

If by song folder, you mean your own song creations, then that can be anywhere you choose.
I keep all my song in various folders, but mainly, I created a "MyTunes" folder and then create a separate folder for each song (because I also save my BIAB file, my RealBand file, my notation file, my lyrics file, etc) in that song folder.
If you just don't remember where it is, perhaps do a search on your hard drive for files named "*.?g?", which will find both MGU and SGU files.

Where should the song folder live? Leave the song folder where it is by BinaB default. Then as Kent PG Music suggests save works to a folder you would name ( e.g. BinaB Saved Songs ) located in the Documents folder. Although, having said that you could save your songs to the Songs folder but be sure you name or rename that song so that you do not overwrite the original for obvious reasons. I use a Mac program called Default Folder http://www.stclairsoft.com/Hope this helps.

Presuming you are on a Mac:
If you're having problems working with your (created) songs in your currently set location, it also may be worth looking at the "permissions" settings for that location. You may need to make sure you have writing permits for that location or you risk getting into problems.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
