Hi.
I've just upgraded to version 2009.5 and installed a package with new realtracks. After this I get the violation error message when I start Band in a Box.
( Acess violation at adress 06BC2569 in module 'Rdas1079.dll Read of adress 00000108 at: 06BC2569.)

I tried to uninstall BiaB and reinstall it without any success. I searched the net to find out what the file Rdas1079.dll was and found that it had to do with the asio driver for my soundcard Edirol UA-25EX.I uninstalled the driver og reinstalled it. But once again I get a message that BiaB has stopped working.

Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this?

Regards
Harald W.

Hi Harald,

Try this:

With BIAB open, go to the Opts menu and hit the "Return to Factory Settings" button.

Then hit the 2nd choice down on the list, which will also reset the soundcard.

See if that doesn't clear this problem for you.

If not, report back.

Hi Mac!
Thx for Your reply.

I tried what You suggested and also reinstalled the driver once again.
But as soon as I choose the UA-25EX Driver in the Asio Audio Drivers window, I get the Access violation message.

***Try checking the mfr's website for updated drivers for you sound device. Check to make sure that it matches your OS and if they are there, download and install them.

**Occasionally there are ASIO drivers that don't work and play well with BIAB. If that is the case, try websearching for the ASIO4ALL free drivers, download and install those and use them instead to enjoy about the same low latency and realtime MIDI conveniences.

*** I've checked the driver and I have the latest version installed for Vista 32-bit.

** The ASIO4ALL driver may be ok. but it does not support my soundcard

What is strange is that everything worked just fine, until I started to check / change the driver settings. I have restored the settings from backup - 2 days old. And everything works just find again.
But.... as soon as I push a button in the driver window, BiaB shuts down nd I have to restore the settings from backup again.

Let me also mention that it works great with Sequel2, Koreplayer, Reaper and Sonar LE.

Perhaps you tried to invoke the VSC DXi and it isn't installed correctly under Vista?

If "Use DXi" is checked in the MIDI Output Window, try unchecking it to see what happens then.

Wow I got it to work

What I did was:

1. Restarted the PC.

2. Deleted the INTRFACE.BBW file in the bb folder.

3. Started BiaB.

4. Configured the MIDI/Audio Drivers and chose the
UA-25EX driver.
OK button and closed BiaB.

5. Made a copy of the INTRFACE.BBW file.

6. Started BiaB again.

7. Chose the Opt.menu and Audio.
Chose ASIO and the UA-25EX driver.
OK button.
Closed BiaB.

8. Made a new copy of the INTRFACE.BBW file.

9. Started BiaB again.

10. It works - it is sound in the speakers .

Now it is time to getting started.
I just bought the product about a week ago.
So if You have any tips on where to start / tutorials
and so on. It would be appreciated.
