Anyone notice that the new Real Track 708 Nylon Electric Guitar has a problem, or problems? Sometimes you hear it and sometimes you don't. The recording is not very usable, especially when using RealBand. The guitar fades in and out. It's a shame because the playing is excellent. Pleae check it out and let me know if it's me or does the sound differ depending on the chord being played. When you look at the audio file, you can really see it I think.

PG Music is aware of this.
I reported it in beta testing and supplied an audio example.
It appeared to me that the problem occurs more in the B substyle but is not limited to that. I suspect what you hear as 'fading in and out' is caused by a few parts that are suddenly and randomly considerably louder, sometimes with a little distortion, whereas the rest is 'normal'. Peter Gannon replied to my post that they had an idea what was causing this.
I also made the suggestion to raise the level of the A substyle slightly in comparison with the B substyle. Users can make such an adjustment in Real Drums control files, but not in Real Tracks.
And yes, the playing by Oliver Gannon is superb.

Maybe we could try applying a bit of compression to the source file.

You might be correct, but I disagree that this is the solution, having run many tests during beta testing. The compression would have to be substantial. Plus, there are dozens of source files for this one Real instrument. As I mentioned, Peter Gannon already said he had an idea what to fix.

I didn't mean as the actual cure, just perhaps as a home workaround so the file could be used until there is a cure. My old Git-R-Done attitude coming out again.
There sure are a LOT of 'em in that folder, though, to have to go through all that over, now that I've looked at 'em.

Yes, we will include the fixed files in the next RealTracks patch (due in about a week). About 15 out of 100 are louder than the rest, and they will be replaced with the quieter versions.
