Attempted to try the demo for Wave's codex wave synth. BIAB pop up says I need to purchase a third party bridge in order for it to work. It is only 10 dollars but there is no indication if the plug in is compatible with BIAB. I called waves tech support. They have never tested it with BIAB. Wondering if anyone uses it or has another suggestion.

I think what you have encountered is that BIAB is a 32-bit program, the Waves product is 64-bit, and you need a utility called JBridge so BIAB can access it. That's a modest charge for BIAB to be able to use the plugin.
Could you give us the name of the Waves plugin? Someone here might have it and could offer more help.

I have tried both these options. BIAB states I need the Bridge with either one. I would have thought the 32.dll would not need it.

I agree with you. I would also have thought the 32-bit version would work fine with BIAB. The only reason I can think of would be about required RAM. JBridge gives you access to more RAM in your system. If you have only 32-bit Windows, you're stuck, but if you have 64-bit hardware with 64-bit Windows, then you can access more RAM beyond the 4GB limit imposed by the addressing of a 32-bit program (BIAB).
Anybody else, do you have this working?

First, CODEX synth will work in PG programs (BIAB, RB, PTPA), I use it, but not without an extra step, or two, by you. Waves programs are not like other VSTi’s/VSTs and without writing a treatise on how Waves applications are installed, verified (i.e., a kind of "license" control), then actually work you can get them to work like “normal” plugins a number of different ways. to keep it simple (K.I.S.S.) the easiest and least confusing long term solution that "fixes it" for ALL DAW’s (not just PG programs) is the one that results in actual individual Waves program .dlls that you can call up as VST’s/VSTi’s, or that can be added to any DAW VST/VSTi list when it scans the various plugins folders. To do this read Pipeline’s other “how to” here: http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=406172Besides the files your listed “WavesLib1_9.92_Win32.dll_" "WavesLib1_9.92_Win64.dll_” are not the 32 bit and 64 bit CODEX.dll’s anyway. Larry PS In the end you will not need JBridge to use the 32 bit CODEX (but doing one of the above's) but it’s a good buy because there are OTHER 64-bit ONLY plugins you MAY want to use at some point (e.g., Amplitube 4, SampleTank 3, etc.)
