Recently got BIAB/RB Audiophile, and chose option #3: Install all but the.WAV files onto computer. I'm loving all the RealTracks and styles, and how easy it is to swap out different parts, and mix and match... Fabulous! But now I want to record some audio which I'm pumping through my Edirol UA-25EX audio interface (which is what I use when recording into Sonar 7 PE, and it works beautifully under ASIO setting). Problem is, whenever I try to switch to the Edirol in BIAB, in the ASIO drivers dialog box, I get:
"Access Violation at address 070F2579 in module 'Rdaw1079.dll'. Read of address 00000108 at: 070F2579"
Any ideas what's happening here? (I did search the forums, and did find some discussion of access violations, but, didn't find quite the same problem with ASIO that I'm having.) Thanks for any insights.

I don't have that UA-25EX here to check, but I do have some USB audio devices here.
I will get an error message in RealBand or Powertracks if I have not yet plugged the USB device into the computer and let the OS recognize the device *before* starting up RealBand.
That might be the same at your end, worth trying.
I'm always forgetting and find out the hard way. Closing down RB, connecting the USB device, then opening up RB *usually* works. Running XP SP3 on that machine. When it doesn't work, I reboot and try again, it usually works then.

Try Mac's solution first, that will have a good chance of succes.
However it didn't work on my laptop (XP SP3, Echo Indigo IO card). After installing the VSC plugs (for MIDI) and changing the audio-settings to MME, BiaB worked on the laptop.

Hi Bob! I’ve had exactly the same problem as You describe. And I used several days/weeks to try to figure out the problem. I experienced also that the EDIROL UA-25EX works fine with Reaper, Sonar LE, Sequel2 and other applications. BTW I use Windows Vista 32. I tried suggestions from the people at this forum and suggestions from the support of Pgmusic and Roland (EDIROL), but with now success.  But after a lot of trying and failing, I found the following solution. 1. Download the last patch of the 2009.5 version. 2. Do not use the wizard for Audiosetup. 3. Go to the Opt.menu 4. Choose the last menu option, Preferences 5. Choose the Audio button. 6. Pick the EDIROL UA-25EX in the list. 7. Mark ASIO always on. 8. Check that Input Port and Output Port is marked. 9. Click the OK button. 10. Exit Biab. 11. Make a copy of the intrface.bbw in the bb folder. This makes it easier to get back to a stage where thing worked. If the error pops up again. At last as Mac said. You have to have the device plugged into the computer before You start BiaB. Else You will get the errors. For me this worked out. Hope it also can work for You. - Harald

Excellent. Thanks guys. I went ahead and set things up the way Harald detailed, and I now have audio coming through loud and clear, using ASIO. Yes!
