Hi All...I haven't posted anything here for a while. My musical directions have changed a bit. I quit the band and, accidentally at first, have got into acting and creating show music. Many of the theatre companies I work with can't afford professionally recorded tracks, so if they want original pieces, in different styles BIAB is a great alternative. One of my ongoing projects is a version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. The director has set it in the 1960's and wants short original songs to connect the scenes. So, I've written him several, based on the same thematic idea, all using the play title. I guess I've tried to echo the spirit of Bringing It All Back Home and Blonde and Blonde etc to capture the period. This is a clever idea. I think it would be cool to see a play that had something like this.
