I"m posting this in the Off-topic forum, because it applies to or could apply to BIAB, PTPA and or RB.
I can print a lead sheet which will show the chord progression of a song, but can't seem to find a way to save it or copy it to a document such as a word .doc. Prnt Screen only alows a smallish photo shot, but doesn't give just the chords from the chord window. Once I go to lead sheet or the notation window, I can't find a way to save it or copy and paste to a document or pdf file.
For example lets say I wanted to send the chords for a song to someone via email, but didn't want to send them the midi or BIAB file. Is there a way to accomplish this?
Any input is appreciated.

How about this, print the lead sheet, but to a PDF printer rather than to paper. Select the printer from the "Setup Printer..." button in the Print dialogue.
For a suitable PDF printer device, I've had good results from PDFCreator but there are others. Google is your friend.

Hi toucher,
Like Lawrie, I print to PDF files to save hard copies of my music. I use Bullzip PDF printer which is one of many freeware printer.

Don't have BB here, but I think under print preview there is an option to save to a jpg. You could then paste it into Word. Don't know if PT has that.

You can Alt-Print Scrn and paste the image into Word.

Try this:
*Return to mainpage Chordgrid View in BIAB.
*Hit the Big "L" Toolbar button to open the Big Lyrics Window.
*The chords should appear there for any song that has chords in the grid, whether there are Lyrics are not.
*Hit the Print button and take a look at the texts in the little window that opens, one of them lets you Print that to the Clipboard.
*From there you can choose Paste in any Word Processor.

Toucher another option to try; go to print preview then click on OPT. You will see a window where you can select for file save type such as BMP, JPG etc then click OK. Click on either the save button to save the current page or the save++ button to save multiple pages in the graphic mode you chose. You can then send your fellow musicians the saved picture.
I hope this helps.
PS – I’m using BiaB 2009.5 but I remember this feature in earlier versions.

The method I give up there has yielded TEXT paste into Word documents.
This is nice because you can then edit as text, instead of imbedding some graphic file.

You are correct in that a text file can be edited. I was just trying to show him there was another way to send chords and lead lines via email. If the chord charts do not need editing one can send them as a jpg attachment in an email.
Just another option.
