Upgraded to 9.5 BIAB and still can't utilize my dual monitors. What's with this?
I love BIAB but... please free up the program so we can use dual monitors.
All the windows stay within the main program.!?

GuyPicks:

If you look under the "Window" dropdown you'll see several that start with "Moveable".
Those can be opened outside of the main BIAB window,
however, I don't have dual monitors so not sure if you'll be able to move them there.

Good luck!

As Lloyd said, there are like three 'Moveable' windows which you can move to the second monitor. You can also, instead of Maximizing the BIAB window, you can 'Restore Down' and then drag the entire window across two monitors. You will not, however, move the main chord window across two, at least I don't think so, but you can drag the other windows to the second monitor.

In case someone might be interested in doing this - it’s also possible to stretch B&B out to three adjacent monitors (3840 x 1024 res) using a Matrox Triplehead-To-Go black box. This way you can have notation easily out to 20 bars or more.

I plug a monitor into my laptop and windows finds new hardware and I have two screens alike. I use the notation window where I play lead guitar and the rhythm guitar plays chords. We do this so that we don't need our books where we would need a dolly we have so many. I do nothing more then plug in the monitor. Wonder why some have problems.

Thanks for the reply guys.
I'm so used to working in Sonar 8 Pro or Pro Tools and being able to move windows or plug-ins to different screens that when I work in a program that doesn't allow that kind of freedom, dampens work flow.
Sorry for venting.

I get Band in a Box spanned in my two monitors without any extra or dedicated hardware. I have a PCI Express nVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT working with recent nvidia drivers (6.14.11.8250 in my case) which you can download for free from company site. For screen configuration I use the nvidia control panel (capture 2), there are 5 nView display modes, I normally use Dual View which let me to configure each screen independently. The large horizontal/vertical mode does the miracle with Band in a Box, you will see the chord main windows spread in both monitors, personally I don´t like this approach because physical monitor borders at center break chord reading, it is a litlle annoying to me. Please, see the follow images captures for more on configuration details.
