This is my first time attempting to install a synth player in powertracks. Can someone walk me through setting up the virtual synth. I tried to follow the help directions -scanned for new plug in etc. I need directions for a newbie to this. I have downloaded and installed coolsoft virtual synth and arachno soundfont 1.0 sf2. I believe I installed the sound font correctly in the synth. Now what? Thanks for the help I am using windows 10 powertracks 2017

Coolsoft is not a VSTi (or DXi) synth. It operates like a virtual hardware synth. So you select it by selecting the Coolsoft port in the MIDI setup. As such, it is external to BIAB/RealBand, so you can't render directly using its sounds. You would instead need to probably set your "recording" input to "Stereo Mix" or "What-U-Hear" and record the sounds that come out of CoolSoft (the same as if you were using an actual hardware synth.
So don't look for it in the VSTi screen; instead, assuming it has been installed correctly, just select it as your MIDI output port on the MIDI ports screen.

Thanks, That made it easy! Now I notice if one track is running cool soft virtual synth and another track is using my creative synth the latencys are different so they do not line up. Is there a way to deal with this? Again, I appreciate your help.

Do you mean Creative synth, or just that you are using a Creative sound card for RealTracks audio processing. If you are actually using a Creative Synth, that is just running soundfonts anyway, so you could run those soundfonts in either the Creative card (using the Creative Soundfont Manaqer) or using Coolsoft (but I wouldn't do both).
Using Vienna (which should come with your Creative card), you can create your own custom soundfont file that incorporates the parts you want from multiple soundfont files and then play in one or the other.
But if you are just using a Creative card to process the audio (RealTracks/ReadlDrums), I seem to recall that there is a setting in BIAB to line up the audio with the MIDI. I'm not at my music machine right now to look it up, so someone else might be able to jump in.

To be clear I am running one midi track using The creative "synth A" as an out put driver and another midi track using virtual midi synth #1 as the out put driver and the 2 tracks will not play together - the latency seems to be different. No audio tracks involved. My sound card is an audigy RX5 I cannot find any sound font info that the card uses. 2 output drivers are listed : Creative synth A and Creative synth B

FWIW
Many Creative cards are hard coded to use 16/48 vs 16/44
so if one synth is using 44 kHz and another is using 48 kHz problems are likely to occur after recording.
If I recall correctly, setting the default bitrate in BiaB/RB to 48 kHz when using Creative hardware often helped .. but I haven't used Creative in years; it just stuck in my head as something to note.
Not sure it will help, but my first hunch.
