I have several tracks created in earlier versions of BiaB with music saved on the soloist track, but when I load them in 2009, the soloist track is empty. If I create a new song with music on the soloist track and save it, the same thing happens. Is there any way to get BiaB 2009 to load the songs with their soloist tracks intact?

Maybe you could use the switch soloist and melody track option before bringing the song into BIAB 2009.

Just so you'll know, I haven't encountered that on my Mac version here. Sometimes just knowing that kind of info can be a clue that can help sort it out.
*These are MIDI-based, correct? With notation that you could see after creating them, right?
If you can't get it to work, also try contacting PGMusic Support directly.

That's right, yes.
It is good to know that it's not a change in the application. I think I will go ahead and contact the support directly.

I have contacted Andrew of PG a few months ago for this same problem and he recognized that this situation was a bug in version 2009 and that PG was looking into it. Since then no news I hope they are still looking??? Jacques

Someone who has this problem might email pgmusic development a copy of a songfile or two that exhibits this behavior. Often helps pinpoint such things.

I wonder if someone could have a look at these for me. This is a BiaB song that I created on my computer (Mac BiaB 2009.5). It has a solo track that begins at measure 25. I saved it with the "Save Song With Patches" dialog and the "Save Solo w/ Song" item checked. When I load it, the solo track is empty. The track isn't muted or with the volume at 0 or anything. There just aren't any notes. Telstar This is a song from a different source, created on a much earlier version of BiaB by someone else. When I open it, the solo track does load. Roxanne I wonder if someone could download both of these and tell me if a) the solo track loads on the first song, and b) if there is something obviously (or not so obviously) different about the files that I just can't see. Thanks.
